A Year in Review

It's been a busy year for Ashke and I. A year ago I was beginning to despair. 

We went from this:

Head up. Mouth open. Completely braced.

Short striding on the right hind.

Still under developed neck, chest and back.

Now he looks like this:

Bulking up.

Smart and Sassy

 Finally, strong enough to carry himself correctly.

Finally, bringing his head down and using his back.

We went from this:

 Aussie saddle

 To the Prestige Trekkerland

I went from this:

 Levis and cowboy boots.

 Western gear

 Breeches, boot and half chaps.

 Dressage bridle. Balanced on the balls of my feet.

We did a lot of this: 245 miles

 

 And in a moment I NEVER thought would happen,

We did this:

 On our 17th anniversary, we were finally able to legally marry.

Not a bad year. Looking forward to the next one. And I have some goals to set for 2014.
