Welcome to my Jungle

In my office at work, I have an east facing window. In my lifetime, although I have love plants and wanted them around me, I have struggled to keep them alive. Until now. I have discovered that I just needed a plant that thrived on neglect and occasional water. That seems to be conifers and succulents.

This little pine tree started as one of those live trees you can purchase in the grocery store at the holidays.
When J moved from an office with windows, she gave it to me. It grows mostly out and not up, but it is thriving in its current home.

The fuzzy green plants in the corner are about 28” high. The plant stalks you can see behind the green planter are part of those two plants.
The plant in the green planter is pretty cool (no idea what most of these are) and came from one of the Costco succulent trays they sell around November.

MOAR plants. These two were from a cactus grouping J had in her office that I replanted and put in my windows about two years ago.

I replanted a bunch of the small succulents from the Costco tray I purchased in small mason jars, which are perfect for the plants, since they really don’t need a huge pot.

The pale green plant was from Costco. It was incredibly fragile to replant and is still recuperating from the experience.

This is one of the original plants I received from J, and is one of my favs.
It’s such a cool plant and was the first to really take off as far as growth is concerned.

The plant on the left is super soft to touch. The spotted aloe in the front was one I purchased in Arizona two Xmas ago and transported back.
The aloe next to the window was from Costco.

Some of the plants were gifts at the holidays a year ago and are planted in fun mugs.
Most of them were doing poorly without the direct morning sun, so they have found a home on my window sill.

These plants are very commonly found in the succulent combinations and grow well.

This is one of the plants I purchased at Costco and one of the reasons I picked the selection I did. It has kind of triangular leaves.
So very cool.

After more than a year, this little cactus has finally started putting out new growth.

Fuzzy leaves and soft to the touch. Plus, the color is unusual.

Another fuzzy leaf’d one.
But different.

My final three. The farthest one was almost dead when I rescued it from Cubeville and it is one of my all time favs.
It has little bubble leaves. It only had six tiny bubble leaves when I put it in my window, and two of them died, before the plant decided to make a come back.
