We did a ride around the big field next to the barn (one big city block)
He seemed to enjoy the ride
This was about five minutes after a firework exploded into the air a couple hundred yards away from us. He spooked at the noise, spun to try and figure out where it was coming from, and then settled at a word from me. I sure do love this horse.
The skyline and setting sun leaving the barn.
Those ears! Missed seeing them!
ReplyDeleteI've missed being out on trail with them!!
DeleteYou live in a desolate, wild place, with dangers unknown to me. Hey, I found a blog you might like. It's a study into the Egyptian Arabian horse. I think the author works for a European Arabian horse magazine.

You've probably seen it before, but I was impressed with the intense pride and knowledge the author has of Egyptian Arabians, and the seemingly obsessive retelling of the histories/pedigrees. I learned a lot from his blog, for me lately it's always most interesting when the Polish State Studs take a Straight Egyptian horse and borrow it to improve their horses, including mine. He makes a big point of this.
