He is beginning to make huge jumps in both learning and the ability to do what I am asking. Our canter today was an amazing step forward. N and I had the arena all to ourselves, so at the end of our ride we cantered in a circle, with Ashke following Cali, and he did awesome. He didn't try to race or fight to get his head up. He did have a tendency to try and shortcut the circle, but I was able to keep him from doing that with my leg. He kept a rhythmic canter at the same distance behind Cali. I was so happy. All this work in the arena is paying off.
You two have come such a very long way; his canter seems so joyful in the video!
