The journey of a 50-something woman and her twelve year old Straight Egyptian Arabian, Thee Ashke
You two have come such a very long way; his canter seems so joyful in the video! You brought him to life again.
He is beginning to make huge jumps in both learning and the ability to do what I am asking. Our canter today was an amazing step forward. N and I had the arena all to ourselves, so at the end of our ride we cantered in a circle, with Ashke following Cali, and he did awesome. He didn't try to race or fight to get his head up. He did have a tendency to try and shortcut the circle, but I was able to keep him from doing that with my leg. He kept a rhythmic canter at the same distance behind Cali. I was so happy. All this work in the arena is paying off.
Way to go!
What a transformation!!! :-D
Love love love this. Such a wonderful transformation.
Oh my! I just caught Ashke's story over on She Moved to Texas blog- that is very impressive!! I can see why you guys have the bond you do. Love it:)
